Requirement for Superset Consulting A major financial services firm sought to transition away from a proprietary, industry-leading BI solution for one of its core products. The goal was to migrate to an Open Source system (Superset) to achieve significant reductions in licensing costs.
Deliverables NobleProg conducted several project meetings with the client to thoroughly understand the requirements, scope, potential risks, and the technical environment. This analysis led to the creation of a comprehensive Statement of Work to guide and track the project’s progress. Our lead consultant worked to align the existing data architecture with the specific reporting needs of various report types. Recommendations were made to adjust the data stores to optimize Superset’s utilization and ensure peak performance, with guidance provided to the implementation team on these changes. After optimizing the data store and pipeline, our consultants began building and deploying a range of reports based on both existing requirements and new requests from the business and its customers. To facilitate the specific data presentation needs, custom plug-ins were developed to enable more interactive features, such as drill-down capabilities.
Outcome The consultants have been developing new dashboards while ensuring that the client’s organization possesses sufficient knowledge to maintain these dashboards and reports independently.
The project is currently ongoing and has been highly regarded by both the client’s business team and their end users. Highlighting the project’s success, its scope has been expanded to include additional products and client bases.
