Course Outline
First session:
The first session will serve as an introduction to supply chain management, exploring the different setups and types encountered in our daily lives. It will also provide an in-depth look at push-pull systems, illustrated with real-world examples.
We will further discuss the various supply chain processes and the best practices that supply chain managers follow. Additionally, we will orient participants to the diverse toolbox of supply chain metrics used by managers to measure performance on a day-to-day basis.
The first session will include numerous examples of different supply chains to highlight various setups, enabling trainees to clearly identify the configuration of any given supply chain.
Second session:
Segmentation lies at the heart of any supply chain. Before designing a supply chain, it is essential to segment suppliers, customers, and products based on specific criteria. These criteria facilitate strategy alignment for each segment and help define service levels for SKUs and customers. We will learn how to conduct ABC analysis and determine the subsequent actions required to achieve maximum profitability and service levels.
The session will also cover forecasting and demand planning, utilizing sales and operations planning techniques and guidelines to align sales and operations teams effectively.
Third session:
Inventories form the core of supply chains, acting as the ultimate buffer for customer satisfaction and demand availability. However, holding excessive inventory presents challenges. Surplus stock can lead to spoilage, obsolescence, and damage. Furthermore, over-investing in inventory restricts resources available for other activities and investments. Inventory analysis essentially involves determining the right quantity of the right product, in the right location, in the right form. In this session, we will practice inventory replenishment policies using the EOQ model and its extensions. We will also determine optimal order quantities under demand uncertainty based on our targeted service level.

I found NobleProg very easy to work with, considering the timezone challenges and our difficulty with trainees requiring support in Japanese. Overall, working with you on this training was satisfactory and I would have no hesitation recommending your organisation. If a training need occurs for us in the ASPAC region again, I will be in touch with NobleProg.
