- Structuring the content:
- Conducting research to ensure subject mastery
- Organizing the content logically
- Creating and integrating complementary visual aids
Preparing the Trainer
- Three fundamental communication tools for trainers:
- Verbal – Choice of words, avoiding slang and jargon
- Vocal – Tone and clarity, eliminating distracting verbal habits
- Visual – Professional appearance, demeanor, and presence
- Rehearsing the session and obtaining honest feedback from a trusted source
- Strategies for managing nervousness
Preparing the Environment
- Room layouts – Understanding how seating arrangements convey underlying messages to attendees
