Kanban is a workflow management method.

This instructor-led, live training (online or on-site) is designed for both beginner and advanced-level participants. The knowledge and tools provided can be applied in your daily work to optimise workflow efficiency.

By the end of this training, participants will be able to:

• Increase the number of work items completed per unit of time.
• Reduce the time required to complete work items.
• Improve work predictability (providing better answers to "When will it be done?").
• Manage flow metrics (throughput, lead time, work in progress, work item age).
• Use flow charts (Cumulative Flow Diagram, Lead Time Histogram, Work Age Chart).
• Apply statistical forecasting methods, such as Monte Carlo simulations and Service Level Agreements.
• Design a Kanban System in a methodical way (STATIK).
• Understand Little's Law, which describes the nature of value flow.

This intensive two-day program is tailored for teams operating within an Agile Release Train (ART), aiming to enhance their effectiveness in an Agile setting by leveraging frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, and XP. Attendees will gain insights into functioning as cohesive Agile Teams, managing backlogs, and successfully planning and delivering iterations. The curriculum places significant emphasis on clarifying the team’s position within the ART and fostering collaboration, planning, execution, and continuous improvement in conjunction with other teams.

Additionally, the training equips teams to engage in Program Increment (PI) activities, addressing both Team-level and Program-level events, with a strong focus on upcoming PI planning sessions. Upon completing the course, participants will be prepared to take the certification exam to achieve the SAFe® Practitioner (SP) credential.

By the conclusion of the course, participants will be capable of:

• Utilizing SAFe principles to expand Lean and Agile practices throughout the organization.
• Gaining a clear understanding of their team’s role within the Agile Release Train and its contribution to overarching goals.
