Course Outline
Module 1: Overview & Architecture
Explain the Dynamics 365 ecosystem and the core components of Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (FO) software, outline the D365FO architecture, and discuss key D365FO design and deployment considerations.
Module 2: Developer Tools
Handle system implementations via Lifecycle Services, customize D365FO using Visual Studio, manage source code and artifacts with version control, and utilize other development tools to complete tasks.
Module 3: Solution Design
Identify the necessary application stack components and server architecture, implement Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), and design D365FO solutions.
Module 4: AOT Elements
Build forms, create and extend tables, develop Extended data Types (EDT) and enumerations, and generate classes while extending AOT elements.
Module 5: Code Development & Testing
Write X++ code, develop object-oriented code, expand D365 FO functionality, explain the test framework and tools, and execute Unit Testing.
Module 6: Data Migration
Explain migration tools and methods, plan the migration strategy, and prepare data for migration. Lab: Data Export/Import using Data Entity
Module 7: Frameworks
Implement D365 FO functionality.
Module 8: Integration
Recognize data integration patterns and scenarios, apply data integration concepts and solutions, set up recurring integrations, connect D365FO with Microsoft Azure, resolve integration errors, and implement the Data Management Package API.
Module 9: Reporting
Describe the capabilities and restrictions of D365FO reporting tools, design, build, and update Dynamics Reports, design, build, and update Dynamics workspaces, and design, build, and update data sources that link to data stores outside of D365FO.
Module 10: Security & Performance
Explain and use performance tools and LCS Environment Monitoring tools, apply role-based security policies and requirements, employ fundamental performance optimization techniques, optimize batch process performance, enhance user interface performance, improve Integration performance, and optimize Report Performance. Lab: Async & Sandbox Functionality
