Overview:

The Design Thinking (DT) process consists of five stages: empathize, define the problem, ideate, prototype, and test.

In today’s increasingly complex world, we often face challenges that require specialized approaches. Design Thinking provides the framework to tackle these complexities. By mastering Design Thinking, you can handle difficult problems more effectively, enhance your communication and persuasion skills, drive better business outcomes, and improve both organizational and individual performance.

• How DT Works: Learn from users and the problem context, identify patterns, develop a design model (understanding model drift), test the model, evaluate results, and re-engineer as needed.
• The Link Between DT, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship.
• DT Methods and Tools: Including personas, stakeholder maps, customer journey maps, service blueprints, and business model innovation techniques.
• Application of DT: Cultivating a design mindset, fostering disruptive innovation, applying iterative approaches and agile estimation, sharpening critical thinking and problem-solving skills, enhancing teamwork and leadership readiness, improving communication and emotional intelligence, and building intercultural, ethical, and negotiating competencies.

Objectives:

• To grasp the fundamental principles and nuances of Design Thinking.
• To explore key concepts, factors, theories, types, and models within DT.

Delivery:

This one-day (4-hour) training course is structured as follows:

• Lectures (40%): Presentation of theories, concepts, models, and interactive sessions.
• Group Exercises (30%): Activities focusing on group dynamics, games, group discussions, and mock conflict resolution.
• Individual Activities (15%): Tasks involving writing, designing, and peer discussions.
• Other Materials (15%): Videos and reading assignments.

Note: Due to the interactive nature of this course, a minimum group size of 3 participants is required.
