  • Enhancing presentation, handling multiple graphs and figures, and saving or printing visual outputs.

Octave Programming I: Script Files

  • Creating and editing scripts, running them, and debugging.

Control Statements

  • Utilizing if-else, switch, for, and while constructs.

Octave Programming II: Functions

Matrices and Vectors

  • Understanding matrices, the transpose operator, matrix creation functions, building composite matrices, treating matrices as tables, extracting matrix subsets, and applying basic matrix functions.

Linear and Nonlinear Equations

Advanced Graphing

  • Displaying multiple graphs in one window, 3D plots, adjusting viewpoints, and plotting surfaces, images, and animations.

Eigenvectors and Singular Value Decomposition

Complex Numbers

  • Plotting complex numbers.

Statistics and Data Processing

GUI Development

Requirements

  • Undergraduate-level mathematical concepts, including linear algebra, probability theory, statistics, and matrices.
  • Fundamental computer operation skills.
  • A basic understanding of another high-level programming language (such as C, PASCAL, FORTRAN, or BASIC) is preferred but not mandatory.
