SAFe® Product Owner/Product Manager with POPM Certification Training Course
Develop the skills needed to lead value delivery in a Lean enterprise—and learn the practices, tools, and mechanisms used to manage backlogs and programs—as you become a certified SAFe® 4 Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM). During this two-day course, participants will gain in-depth knowledge about the Agile Release Train (ART), how it delivers value, and how to effectively fulfill their role.
They will also learn how to apply Lean thinking to create Epics, break them down into Features and Stories, plan and execute Iterations, and plan Program Increments. By the end, participants will understand the Continuous Delivery Pipeline and DevOps culture, learn how to effectively integrate into the roles of Product Owner and Product Manager, and discover what is required for the continuous improvement of the ART.
To fulfill the role of a SAFe® Product Owner/Product Manager, participants should be able to:
- Apply SAFe within a Lean enterprise
- Align SAFe Lean-Agile principles and values with PO/PM roles
- Collaborate with Lean Portfolio Management
- Uncover continuous value through Program Increment planning
- Execute Program Increments and deliver continuous value
- Describe the roles of Product Owner and Product Manager
- Create an action plan for their role

Participants must attend both days of the course to be eligible for the exam.
